Historical Background
"Why the study of Fellowship history?" — Exodus 16:32
The Fellowship of NKST Students (FNKSTS) came into existence as a result of the desire of students at the University of Agriculture, Makurdi who were members of the NKST church. The first service was held on 14th February, 1993, attended by eleven persons.
The plan to establish the fellowship was chiefly engineered by Mr. Ikyaaveh Abraham (Late, 2018), who called some students from the NKST family to a meeting on 13th February, 1993. The first service was held at Academic Block A, Room 115, attended by eleven persons.

- Ikyaaveh I. Abraham (Late)
Abraham Ikyaave, along with Professor Terlumun Avav (of blessed memory), obtained approval to establish a Fellowship on campus. Late Prof. Terlumun Avav became the first Patron of the Fellowship. Burbwa Felix (now Eld. Engr. Burbwa Felix) became the first Elected President.
The brethren embarked on weekly evangelism in villages surrounding the University community, leading to the establishment of Gbaa Katekisema u Pila, NKST Chenge, and several other worship centres under NKST North Bank Consistory.
Today, the fellowship which started with 11 persons has thousands of members in various tertiary institutions across Nigeria, also extending to some secondary schools within Benue State.
